Who needs Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers

 

BLS certification is generally more intensive and complex than Layperson CPR training and encompasses a wider variety of medical training. A CPR course can often be a precursor, but not necessary to taking BLS certification course, which is often considered a slightly more advanced option.

Employers for NON Healthcare Providers accepts both CPR Training and BLS for Healthcare Providers when CPR Training is required.

If you need First Aid Training, you must ensure that the course you are taking includes First Aid Training or you may take First Aid Training as a separate course.

If you are working in a hospital, or is taking nursing/EMT course, please ask your hospital administrator or Instructor if they accept American Red Cross Basic Life Support training.   If you need American Heart Association BLS Provider course, please email admin@ofwellnessandtraining.com to adjust your enrollment

If you do not see your job/profession below, check with your employer or school if you need BLS (CPR/AED training) or CPR for layperson training
